Microsoft has anounced the release of their new Spyware blocker for Windows. The release comes after they have bought the company Giant.

One of the great things of this software is, that not only will it detect and remove your spyware (I found 1 entry with this myself), but it will also restore hijacked Internet Explorer settings. I bet all of you either tried that yourself, or know someone, that have been given a new startpage in Internet Explorer that does not seem to be easy to change. This great application can do that as well. This can also be friendly software that leaves a irritating trail of small popups.

You will need to visit the page via Internet Explorer, otherwise your PC will not be validated. Note this is for Genuine Windows only. (In this case this means Win2000, WinXP and Win2003 server).

Note that this beta will stop working on July 31, 2005.

The software will ask you to join the SpyNet community, what a good initiative by Microsoft.
