This just as a friendly reminder to all practitioners: Internet Explorer 8 is due out later this year and you need to start preparing for it! As a major new release, it comes with several important changes (Microsoft goes as far as labelling it “breakthroughs”) as well as exciting new features and improvements. It also comes with its own set of issues that will take some time to get ironed out. If you want to avoid the usual early mover disadvantage, make sure that you don’t upgrade your browser, until your IT department has given its blessings and your r web applications and sites has been properly tested.

Was today and yesterday in a webconference called JBoye08. By Martin Frederiksen who I met there called J-Boy… Anyway after 2 days of standing up and talking to new possible customers, I am tired - but happy.

We, Lars Birkholm Petersen and I, was there to represent Sitecore at a booth. We had a nice back-wall with logos and a big image of a smiling girl, and a big flat TV screen running a flash-presentation.

The conference was in Aarhus, Denmark, so the drive was only about 20 mins.

Most importantly we won the Web Idol contest, where we beat Hippo, EZ Publish, e-Spirit and Tridion. Lars did a really nice presentation, i recoreded it on my camera – its right here.
